Turn on Your Mind Media (TOYM) is a non-partisan enterprise, created to provide research-savvy journalists with an open-sourced platform to share new investigative techniques. This platform will be established within the context of covering social media-driven humanitarian and social movements. TOYM intends to expose political and economic corruption.

TOYM will provide research and analysis based on a decentralized model. Many of our most talented researchers (and those with knowledge and/or access to resources) are not located within reasonable proximity to one another, which makes this decentralized approach ideal for all. 

While much of the data can be gathered, mapped and analyzed from readily available online sources and government disclosure forms, a key component in our focus will be on-the-ground reporting from inside social movements. To get the full story, traveling to some far-flung and potentially dangerous locations will be essential to the operation of TOYM.

Creating a sustainable business model is our primary goal for this mode of open-sourced journalism, backed by advertisers and donor members. High-quality investigative journalism is a universal need. It fosters democracy and a better quality of life. TOYM views open-sourced investigative journalism as an essential evolution in media, and we require dedicated supporters to back our work.
